PROGRAM

Marian Regional Medical Center

Our own, Kerin Mase, President and CEO of Marian Medical Center presented our program.  She will have been serving in this capacity for 2 years in December.  She shared with us information about the many services that Marian provides, as well as a tour of the Emergency Department.

Marian was named one of the best 100 Medical centers in the US, and has received six Medical Service Awards.  Everything at Marian is about working as a team.  They were originally hospitals, but have now also acquired 35 clinics.  They reach from Oxnard all the way to San Luis Obispo.  The new hospital opened 5 years ago last May.  The Emergency department, which has 32 beds will soon be expanding.  The Marian Medical Center has a Stroke receiving center, and stroke and heart centers are where they want to continue to focus.  Marian is building a neuroscience center.  Also part of Marian is the Mission Hope Cancer Center.  Cancer patients no longer have to the leave the area for care.  They have a full spectrum of Acute Care and Rehabilitation, and just graduated their first class of residence students.
