Check Presentation

President Laurie presented First Tee representative Mike Nelson a check for $500. Club member Tony Spinelli sponsored the donation. First Tee is an organization that teaches life skills to young boys and girls through the game of golf.

Blue Badge Award

Past President Pat McDermott presented red badge member Kerin Mase with her official blue badge this morning. Pat good naturedly roasted the new inductee (in loving memory of Dave Carty) and devoted a Power point presentation to her. Kerin has wasted no time in getting involved with the club. She has quickly become a "family member" and the club is very proud to have her as a Breakfast Rotarian. Kerin is pictured below with President Tamura and club sponsor Kevin Walthers.

BRAGS

Doug Palmer (Rotarian of the Month): officially made it through the entire month without attending a single meeting. Hence, no free brags. I'm sure the President will give him at least one chance to make up for it when he gets back from vacation.

Lee Carroll: bragged on the entire club for helping he and Joey out during her surgery recuperation period. In particular, he had a big "shout out" to Ted & Beth Ortega and Joe & Linda Maloney for their extra special help. $50

Debbie Blow: bragged on Shannon Seifert for nominating her for a prestigious women's award. She is very appreciative and humbled by the honor of the nomination. $30

Jim Peterson: will be celebrating he and Arlene's 11th wedding anniversary this coming weekend. $25

Mike Cardona: thanks to Jim, remembered that he and Crystal's anniversary is also this weekend (he would have remembered eventually)wink

Randy Wise: bragged that he and Mary celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day. They took advantage of the holiday weekend and spent a few days in Cambria. $35

FINES

Ryan Swack: Not quite sure, but I think that he was fined for knowing way too much about the Radisson organization???
All I know is it's going to cost him $30

PROGRAM

Abel Maldonado's Recent Adventure

This week's program was presented by our very own club member Abel Maldonado. Abel as always, is a very informative and entertaining speaker. This morning, he spoke to our members and guests about his recent trip to Florida and his meeting with our current President, Donald J. Trump. His thoughts and views on the new presidency were very insightful and on point. There were way too many details to mention in this article. Lets just say, it was not a program to have missed.
