Our club was proud to present a check to the Santa Maria Humane society to help fund this very worthy organization. Pictured above are President Laurie Tamura, Humane Society representative Rafael Magana and Rotary Club sponsor Carol Bradfield.

Shannon Seifert: bragged on fellow club members Carol Bradfield (for providing her a new employee that she had never met), Debbie Blow (for being a well deserved award winner) and Teresa Reyburn (for having her 39th birthday......again). All that was worth $50.
FINES
Carol Bradfield, Shannon Seifert, James Thomas, Andy Caldwell, Mark Jackson and Lee Carroll were all fined $30 for various things that I failed to write down (but I'm sure are all well deserved)
PROGRAM
Officer Aaron York
California Highway Patrol
Officer York spoke to the club about the history of the CHP and how it has evolved over the years to what it has become in today's world. With over 25 million licensed drivers and 33.5 million registered vehicles, the California Highway Patriol is a necessary agency that helps to provide the highest level of safety, service and security throughout the Golden State. In addition to enforcing the vehicle code on the many roads and highways, the office of the CHP also has the responsibility of maintaining high level security for all state government properties. In addition to this very important job assignment, it also maintains the 911emergency phone system for all cell phone callers. All in all, the program was very interesting as well as entertaining. Officer York then fielded questions from the audience after his formal presentation was completed.
