BRAGS

Tim Seifert (Rotarian of the Month): Tim bragged on the fellow Rotarians that took time out last Friday and helped him spruce up the Club's parade float. We are now ready to show it off on December 2 :)

Teresa Reyburn: bragged $25 on Jason Stillwell for endorsing the recent Youth Safety Plan.

Jean-luc Garon: bragged $100 on the club for the recent Meal Train providers that helped out during Tanya's recovery process. It was of great help and the whole family really appreciated it.

Shannon Seifert: Shannon had quite a few things to brag about, but with her fast talking and my slow writing.....needless to say, I didn't get it all. I think it had something to do with the Humane Society, the Parade and Ryan Swack (in that order). $30

Mike Gibson: He and Marla are proud grand parents (once again). The new additions names are Millie Jo Fuhring and Lucy Jane Halsell who were both born in November. That brings the new total up to six. Congratulations!! $40

Frank Ortiz: bragged on fellow Rotarian Tim Staffel for donating two PCPA tickets to our new foreign exchange student that Frank & Scottie are housing. $25

Jim Ventriglia: bragged on his wife's recent birthday. $25

Abel Maldonado: was very proud of his son's just completed football season. Stats: 33 touchdown passes for 3,200 yards. Way to go Dino!! We are all very proud of you. $100

Lee Carrol: purchased a brand new Chevy truck. He also thanked Laurie Tamura and Tim Seifert for something that I apparently forgot to write down (oh well, I'm sure it was good) $25

Tony Spinelli: bragged $25 on his daughter's 18th birthday. They had a nice family celebration and his son came up to visit as well.

Craig Bernard: had an interesting photo that he firmly believes is a dead ringer for Abel Maldonado. Judging by the photo below, he might be right??  $25

Jerry Schmidt: (yes, another beard story). Jerry visited his family in Phoenix over the holidays and was convinced by the relatives that his beard had to go. It's ok Jerry, the Elks Beard-A-Reno contest is right around the corner. $25

PROGRAM

Today's program consisted of an organizational outline of the upcoming Christmas Parade on December 2. Co-Chairs Mike Gibson and Dave Wright brought everyone up to date as to what job duties everybody had and what was expected of participating members. Job duties included the staging area, canned goods procurement, intersection control, flag pull, street cleaning, parade marshalls and judging. This is an "all hands on deck" event that works closely with the other local Rotary Clubs to make it the best holiday parade event in the Santa Maria Valley area. All areas of the parade were explained to the members so that everyone knew their job role and what was expected of them. Thanks to the exceptional leadership of Gibson & Wright, it looks like we are in for a very exciting parade event. Merry Christmas from Santa Maria Breakfast Rotary!
