PROGRAM

A very informative program today from Candice Monge, Susan Rassmussen, and Lisa Ray today regarding the Children's Resource Network and how ut works with Dignity Health,

Their MISSION:

PROVIDE disadvantaged children and at-risk youth in San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County with free clothing, blankets, books, backpacks, school supplies, diapers, toiletries and other items to meet their educational and personal basic needs. Support and resource availability at the current phase of their life is critical for developing their self-confidence and self-esteem. It enables them to excel in school and achieve their educational goals to realize their full potential. A strong foundation ensures that as adults they will be caring, responsible and productive community members.

INSPIRE the children, through our programs, to help other children in need. The realization that they can make valuable contributions through selfless service gives them a sense of empowerment --- a feeling foreign to many of them until now.

STRIVE for continuous-improvement of organization's systems and operating procedures for enhancing the scope and quality of services to better meet needs of disadvantaged children and at-risk youth.

SEEK support from the community at a level that matches the demand, growing at an accelerated pace, for our services. This is critical for being able to provide vital resources on a continuing basis to the disadvantaged children and at-risk youth.

PRESIDENTIAL NOTES & INFO

Lot's still going on in Rotary.  President Laurie reminds everyone to look into recognizing a Paul Harris Fellow in their family or community.  She stated that there have been about 15 new PHF's so far this year.  She wants more!
