BRAGS:
Mark Jackson (Rotarian of the Month): Unfortunately Mark wasn't here today. He'll just have to double up on his brags for next week
Craig Bernard: recently returned from a fantastic trip to Idaho. He played a little golf and he and Kelly visited with the Fredleins as well. After their return, they also made it to a Steve Miller/Peter Frampton concert in Santa Barbara. $50
Shannon Seifert: was very appreciative of all the Rotarians that helped prepare and feed around 800 YMCA volunteers with tri-tip sandwiches. Many thanks to our great BBQ team, they saved the day! $100
Laurie Tamura: celebrated a birthday with family and friends and topped it all off with a fantastic dinner at the Hitching Post (where incidentally, she saw quite a few Rotarians as well). $61
Terri Stricklin: will be celebrating a birthday in the very near future. She doesn't know what it entails yet as her husband says that it will be a surprise. Oh well, it's worth $64 anyway. (Details to follow?)
Ted Ortega: bragged $10 on his birthday in January. Nice try Ted, sure we're happy to take the $10 down payment now but we'll look forward to the additional $43 in 2019

PROGRAM:
This week's program was presented by Joe Padilla of Santa Maria BMX. Mr. Padilla described the program that is currently being offered at our local racing track near the Elks Rodeo Grounds. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the organization. Over 300 local family members utilize the non profit business and volunteer their time to help make it a success. All Rotary members were urged to drop by and take a look at the facilities and see what programs they have to offer. Children from three years old on up are welcome to try their hand at learning this exciting sport. For more information, contact Joe at santamariabmx805@gmail.com or call (801) 641-2132.
