Tim Seifert (Rotarian of the Month): Tim bragged on his involvement in one of the quickest Planning Commission meetings in recent history (less than 4 minutes). Wow!...talk about efficiency!!
Wendy Foxen: bragged on her recent 34th wedding anniversary. Wendy & Jim celebrated with a few of their close friends at the ever popular Hitching Post restaurant. As Club treasurer she was also very proud to announce that the recent Barn Party Luau will most likely take in almost $100,000 after all the tabulation is done. She was very proud of her bank crew and all of the club members that made it happen. That was worth $100
Shannon Seifert; She announced that the shirt competition between the Bar and BBQ crews was a dead even tie. Sorry guys.....but there were no prizes involved anyway.
Dave Wright: proudly bragged on his BBQ crew. They do a fantastic job each and every year and a lot of hard work goes into the process. The meat turned out excellent and was enjoyed by all the guests. $50
James Thomas: bragged on his libation professionals. The bar crew crew not only worked very hard, but also managed to generate close to $1,500 in tips that will go back to the Club's general fund. Good job guys! $25
Mark Bachman: bragged on his silent auction table crew. They kept things organized throughout the night and made sure that all guests received what they bought and had a happy smile as they left. $100
Carol Bradfield: and her check-in crew experienced a smooth process with getting the Luau guests up and running very quickly. The pre check-in process helped tremendously. Carol was very proud of her crew and hopes that they all will want to do it again next year!
Laurie Tamura: As the overall chairman for this year's Luau, Laurie was very proud of everyone involved. Special kudos went out to all the committee chairs and especially Mark Jackson (who never fails to put the "WOW" in Luau). She also had an extra "shout out" to all non members that volunteered their valuable time to help make this year's Luau one of the best ever. She now looks forward to attending this year's International Rotary Convention and starting her Presidency the first Thursday in July.
FINES
Jim Ventriglia & Tim Seifert: were fined $30 each for the " hard work" they put into mentoring the BBQ Team
Jason Stillwell: was fined $30 for smooching with a customer (his wife)
Tim Staffel: either bragged or was fined $30 for being a part of the Kentucky Derby Fundraiser winning table.
Rich Watson: was fined $30 for having a son graduate college and having a very young looking wife.
Eddie Stanfield and Shannon Eckroth: fined $35 each for turning up late to the Luau clean up day. There was some arguement, but unless they had a valid time stamp in hand, Prez Seifert didn't want to hear any excuses :)
Gibson & Wise: were fined $35 and $30 (respectively) for something about a dangling surfboard. Yes, it did drop on Wise's side, but that was purely a coincidence. It was obvious that the wire itself was faulty (that's his story and he's sticking to it). Additionally, Mike and Randy feel that since Martin Testa and Mark Clarke weren't at the meeting on Thursday that they should be fined instead.....(just kidding). Oh well, thank god no one got hurt and a valuable lesson was learned.
