Thank goodness there were no photos!!!!
Several BBQing Rotarians assisted with the Humane Society Open House held on Saturday July 18.

PROGRAM

Dr. Mark Malangko spoke to the club about the young students of Ghana.  Ghana is a country in Africa that has little resources to devote to the education of their young children.  Electricity is in short supply and is not available in all parts of the country.  To help students overcome this drawback, Dr. Malamgko is transporting solar study lights to Ghana to give to needy students so than can read and study when the sun goes down.  Lights range from $10 to $30 each.  After hearing this interesting talk, the club has committed to help purchase lights for his upcoming trip.

PRESIDENTIAL NOTES & INFO

  1. John Hodgkiss (a friend to the club) had a recent devastating fire to his home in Orcutt.  A special fund has been set up to raise money for the family.  Contact Wendy Foxen if you would like to contribute.
