New Member Installation: This morning, Julianne Moreno was welcomed as our newest Rotary Club member. Her father Lee Carroll is her designated sponsor.

SM Police Council Golf Tournament and Comedy Night: Santa Maria Country Club will host the event on Saturday August 13. Tickets are going fast and sponsorships are still available.
Econ Alliance Golf Tournament: is happening on August 23. If you would like to participate, contact Laurie Tamura for more details.
Boys & Girls Club Golf Tournament: will be held on July 26. Berto Rodriguez has all the details if you would like to sign up.

2022 Barn Party Luau: Yes, that's right. We actually have a firm date reserved at the Fairpark for next year's event. All members mark your calendars for May 14, 2022. Hopefully we will continue to be back to normal so that our annual fundraiser goes off without a hitch.
 Kate Ferguson: just returned from a great vacation where she and her husband saw a great deal of our country (South Dakota, Montana, Utah, Colorado, etc) via an RV.  $50
Laurie Tamura: This past weekend Laurie's son was married at the Santa Maria Inn. Everything turned out wonderful with special thanks going to the SM Inn staff as well as Martin Testa for equipment rental.  $100

CTE Center / Ag Farm
This week our club had an offsite location for our meeting. The newly built CTE Center was our destination. Dr. Paul Robinson spoke about the center and the many offerings that it will bring to our local high school students. Career Technical Education is a program of study that involves a multi-year sequence of courses, that integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge, to provide students with a pathway to post-secondary education and careers.
