Annual Scholarship Awards
The following images summarize today's meeting. Over the past year, $40,000 was raised by the club to help support this annual program. The club considers it an extreme honor to be able to recognize these fine young men and women for all the hard work that they've demonstrated during their high school career. Santa Maria Breakfast Rotary wishes them well as they transition into the next level of their educational journey.
Program Speaker
Stephanie Stampher
The club was very fortunate to have Stephanie as our featured speaker this week. Ms. Stampher is an alumni of Valley Christian Academy where she graduated with a class of 12 fellow seniors. After graduation she moved to San Diego to attend a trade school where she pursued a pharmacy technician certificate. After working in that field for a few years, she then attended Golden West College and gravitated towards the field of mathematics. After receiving her associates degree, she then transferred to UCLA with an applied mathematics major. She then graduated from UCLA in 2018 and now attends coding school where she hopes to ultimately become a software engineer. Stephanie also spoke to the group about the various social activities that college life has to offer. After speaking she answered various questions from the audience.
