Mike Gibson: recently returned from a camping trip at Shaver Lake. A pontoon boat was rented and a ton of fun was had by all. $20
Jerry Schmidt: visited his In-Laws recently in Portland, Oregon. A quality hiking trip was also part of the experience. $20
FINES:
Jerry Schmidt: for looking way too cool in his new "hip" shirt. $30 (President jealousy???.....Hmmm)
Debbie Blow: for scheduling Lakeview 8th grade graduation the same day and time as Righetti High School graduation. $30
Tim Staffel: was so excited about the Ken Burns country documentary that he decided that he was going to do some serious "VCRing" $30
President Walthers was happy to see so many fellow Breakfast Rotarians at his AHC Wine Party event (actually, Patrice Mosby was the only one there from our group). Having said that, he decided to randomly fine the following five members $30 each. Leonard Champion, Peter Kang, Julie Walker, Terri Stricklin and Jerry Walsh. He said that they were low on the fine list, but "spite" could possibly be involved

Santa Barbara Maritime Museum
Mr. Greg Gorga
The Santa Barbara Maritime Museum was the subject of this weeks program. Mr. Gorga returned to our club to give us an update on the new educational programs that are currently available at the museum. The presence of oil fields in the Santa Barbara channel was represented in the many historical photographs included in his Powerpoint presentation. Interesting fact, the UCSB campus has a giant tar pit in the lagoon that sits on their property. To learn more about this entire subject, our club urges you to visit the museum located at 113 Harbor Way, Suite 190 Santa Barbara, CA
