It's that time of year again!  SMBR will be traveling to Pasadena to be part of the R.I. entry in the 2027 Rose Parade.

RANDY “Pizza Guy” WISE helped celebrate wife Mary's birthday week with family and friends.  $69

President HOLLY EDDS thanked the SMBR board members and guest for welcoming Margaria Eidson, District Governor 5240 (2026-27) for a wonderful dinner!  $50

PAT McDERMOTT expressed his dismay at how fast time flies!  Following the closure of Williams Bros. grocery store, he solicited John Spencer to join him in replacing this gem, which they did 30 years ago!  $30

KEVIN WALTHERS shared his pleasure with President Holly for replacing the old 48-star flag with one that is up to date!  $25

“Coach” TY ORTIZ shared a couple of things:  First, The Nipomo HS football team is 6-0.  Go Titans!  

Also, Gabriel, a former teammate is home a recovering from his near-fatal car accident.  Ty thanked everyone for their support and donations.  $25

PROGRAM

CREATE LASTING IMPACT

MARGARIDA is a member of the Rotary Club of Ventura East. She twice served as Club President, District Youth Services Director, Assistant Governor, and District Chief of Staff in 2023-2024.  As president of Eidson Management, Inc., her company provides accounting services, financial analysis, marketing, and human resource services to multiple clients, including managing the Poinsettia Pavilion, a non-profit event center in Ventura that hosts around 80 events monthly.

She is originally from Portugal and lives in Camarillo with her four wonderful boys, all of whom are Scouts.  Margarida was a professional ballet dancer, loves to knit and crochet, and swims with her boys at the end of Summer Training Camp for Junior Lifeguards.

As the DG of Rotary District 5240 MARGARIDA provides direction to 65 clubs and over 3,000 members in four counties:  SLO, SB, Ventura and Kern.  She  shared the membership goal of Rotary International is to reach 1.25M by Rotary's 125 anniversary in 2030.
