Rotarian of the Month

Rotarian of the Month, Ryan Swack - wanted to brag on everyone for the great work that they do

Mark Clarke bragged that Friday during the Rotary Golf game in Nipomo, he won several awards - $25.

Mike Gibson bragged that this past Saturday the scholarship committee met, and went through 120 applications. Thanks to all those who read, they selected 27 students who will get $40,000 in scholarships - $27.  He also bragged on George Mackey, who did so many things for our club.   Mike’s favorite quote from George was one morning he won the 50/50 raffle; he jumped up and said: “there is a God!”

Kate Ferguson bragged $25 on Michelle Newman, Julie Walker, and their friend Martha who put together the silent auction.

Mark Jackson bragged $20 on the club, and thanked everyone for their support.  The Barn Party is always the highlight of his rotary year.  It is fun to see the newer members work together. He also bragged on his recent purchase to feed his hobby.  He just acquired another airstream a1967, 22 foot time machine.

Debbie Blow bragged $25 on Michele Frantz, 1stGrade Teacher at Joe Nightingale Elementary School who was selected as the Santa Barbara County Teacher of the Year.

Michelle Newman bragged $20 and thanked her friend for the help in setting up the silent auction.

FINES:

Kevin Walthers fined himself - he made Jim Bray's day by telling him that he needed to move because he was blocking Debbie Blow's view.  I guess Jim isn't often told he is blocking someone's view?
