NEW MEMBERS
Two new members were welcomed into the club today. Karin Massey and Gary Nimitz received their red badges. After they complete the necessary tasks required, they will then be promoted as an official blue badge member.
NEW PAUL HARRIS FELLOWS
Our Rotary Club prides itself on eventually having all of it's members certified as a Paul Harris fellow. Two gentlemen were added to the roster this past Thursday. Congratulations go to Ryan Swack and Jeff Tamura (pictured below)
SPECIAL PAUL HARRIS SERVICE AWARD
Yay!!! Wendy. The District Rotary Governor awarded our very own Wendy Foxen a special award for Rotary service above and beyond the call of duty. Wendy is always cheerful and willing to lend a helping hand to any club member or project needing her help. She is a tremendous asset to the club and we are extremely proud to have her as a member!
BRAGS
Andy Caldwell: The Rotarian of the Month was absent once again, but he has one more Thursday left to fit all of his free brags into. After that, it's back to "big money" once again.
Martin Testa: bragged on his business Testa Catering, for recently feeding 4,000 people at the Best Buddies gathering in San Simeon. Afterwards, he and Debi took some quality time off camping at Avila Beach. $50
Mark Jackson: had a couple of items that he wanted to share with us. First of all, he mentioned that between his marriage and his parents the amount of years totaled 93 years. He then paid tribute to his father who passed away the week before. Not only was he his dearly loved father, he also was a true friend and mentor that will be greatly missed. Mark bragged $93 on the weddings and contributed an extra $100 to the compassion fund in his Dad's honor.
Teresa Reyburn: was very excited to hear about her nephew's current state of recovery from an extremely serious accident. He has now been photographed riding horses and roping calves. She was very happy to hear about the good news. $25
Tim Seifert: bragged $50 on being the new Chairman of the Santa Maria Community Block Grant committee. He is currently seeking qualified candidates to be members. If you're interested, please give him a call.
