BRAGS:

Laurie Tamura (Rotarian of the Month): Laurie was just glad that she had an uneventful week (as compared to last week). Everyone in her family is doing well and she is very thankful for that....$Free brags for the month

Dan Blough: bragged on both he and Peggy's upcoming birthday celebration (both on the exact same daysurprise). That was worth a whopping $139......you do the math.

Jerry Schmidt: Just returned from a trip to Idaho where he attended a wedding and celebrated his birthday. He and his family had an outstanding time. $84

David Leroy: It seems like Idaho is the place to go (hey, that rhymes). David had a great family vacation on his brother's property that sits right next to a National Forest. Unfortunately he had to come back to work....but his family extended their stay and are still there having fun. $50

Tim Seifert: Thinks he knows someone in Idaho (if that counts for something). Anyway, he wanted to officially thank Ted Ortega for the hilarious comedy show that he and Shannon attended at the Chumash Resort. He appreciated the tickets and they both had a great evening. $25

Pat McDermott: Wanted to take a moment and brag about the "Power of Rotary". Two club members (David Leroy & Mark Bachman) came to the aid of two of Pat's office staff members after their vehicles were no longer usable. Peter Sterling's name was also mentioned. Not quite sure for what, but I'm sure that it was really great! Anyway, the main point is Pat is very proud to be a member of this club and he wanted everyone to know it. $100

FINES:

President Mike once a again brought out his Coca-Cola trivia questions. Of course nobody knew the answers (except for Atlanta native Jim Bray). As a result, two more members were given $30 fines

Kevin Walthers: $30

Jerry Schmidt: $30
PROGRAM:

Central Coast Rescue Mission

This week's program was presented by the CCRM Director Mr. John Brankowski. John spoke to the club about the Mission and how it strives to help men get back on their feet and change their lives for the better. The current Santa Maria facility houses eighteen beds and works off a waiting list for future enrollment. The program provided is a no cost procedure that uses a refuge, recovery and restoration approach to achieve the life goals needed. CCRM is a faith based organization that focuses on church and what the holy spirit can bring to their eventual healing. CCRM also runs seven thrift stores throughout the central coast to help raise much needed funds for future clients. A Thursday night Farmers Market has also been organized to help raise money as well as help feed the existing clients. For more information please feel free to call John at (805) 614-0220
