Monthly Rotarians of the Decade: Patrice Mosby was named this week's "Monthly Rotarian of the Decade". Since she was caught off guard, her free brag was in regards to her daughter house sitting for Mark Jackson.
Glenn Morris: was happy to report that his kids and grandkids came to visit recently from Utah. Everyone had a great time $25
Lee Carroll: Lee's daughter recently got married and he also bought two vehicles from Toyota of SM (David Leroy). That was worth a whopping $5 "McDermott" size brag.
Gary Nemetz: bragged on Shannon Seifert and Martin Testa doing an excellent job. He also was going to have a birthday in the next few days. Additionally, he got together with the grandkids for a 49er fantasy trip to meet an old friend $100
Shannon Seifert: bragged on the great job everyone did at the recent YMCA Family Day in the Park event. The YMCA Outreach Pool Party was also very successful. $100
Andy Caldwell: if you haven't heard yet, Andy's running for congress! He's definitely up for the challenge and he's looking forward to the campaign. $100 He was also fined $5 for not wearing plaid for a change (I think?)
Tim Seifert: for those of you not in attendance, you missed a very entertaining story by Tim on the "trials and tribulations" of Alaskan paddle boarding. All in all he had a fantastic time which resulted in a $100 brag
Craig Bernard: Craig's granddaughter went off to attend college. He also learned to fly fish in Mammoth (which he said was very difficult). That was worth a $100 brag.
Mike Gibson: He and a few of his friends had a great trip to Idaho. It was a great vacation and he would recommend it to anyone looking for vacation suggestions. $20
Pat McDermott: was proud to announce that he and Cyndy will be celebrating their 39th wedding anniversary. He also talked about some other things that included his "fancy" math techniques, but in the end it was a $40 brag.
Terri Stricklin: bragged on her birthday and an unknown birthday road trip that she will be experiencing in the very near future. $65
Carol Bradfield: bragged on her new "home away from home" in Idaho. She enjoyed the recent visit from her Rotary friends and looks forward for more to come. $20
Frank Ortiz: has been appointed by Judge Art Garcia as an official CASA advocate. $30
Lee Carroll (Part Two): President Walthers brought attention to the recent SM Times article that focused on fellow member Lee Carroll. His article appeared on the front cover of Sunday's issue (8/18). Lee thanked Jim Bray for getting him involved in the many organizations and causes that led to his being honored. The following members were so moved by Lee's article that they bragged $25 each in honor of him. Jim Bray, Kate Ferguson, Dale Johnson, David Leroy, Wayne Miller, Jerry Schmidt, Kathy Simas.
