Downtown Fridays: Ed Carcarey was in attendance this morning and updated the membership on virtual Downtown Fridays. Ed was very pleased with the turnout so far as over 5,000 concert views have happened as of this date with hopefully more to come.
YMCA Virtual Golf Ball Drop: This will be happening on October 1, 2020. Mike Gibson will gladly take your ball order and bill you through Rotary. ($25 each).
Drive Thru BOO: October 29 will be here soon and volunteers are needed. Contact Frank Ortiz if you can be of service.
Fire Chief and fellow Rotarian Leonard Champion updated the membership on the state of the numerous fires occurring in California and the many Santa Maria team members that are being loaned out to help combat the infernos. A total of one third of his entire fire department is helping elsewhere. The fires mentioned were the Bobcat Fire, El Dorado Fire, North and August Complex and the Slater Incident. Our prayers are with them all and we look forward to them returning safely back to our community.

Ryan Swack:Bragged on he and his wife Stephanie's 11th wedding anniversary. They celebrated by going wine tasting and attending a socially distanced Oktoberfest celebration. $30
Santa Maria Fire Department Team Members: The following members bragged $50 each on these emergency responders. Leonard Champion, Frank Ortiz, Kate Ferguson, Mike Gibson, Dan Blough, Tanya Astrosky, Jerry Schmidt, Kevin Walthers & Tim Seifert.
