Ted Ortega: bragged $50 on his 24th wedding anniversary - he had to check with his wife, and yes it is 24th.  He also bragged on the continuation of his 50th birthday celebration; a Bruce Springstein concert

 

Jim Peterson: bragged $20, on Arelene's Birthday.

 

Jame Thomas: bragged $25, he just got back from a great trip to Arizona to see spring training.

 

Carol Bradfield: bragged $25 on her son Jake who was selected as one of ten soldiers who will be attending William and Mary College to receive a MBA.

 

Carl De Riso: bragged $50 on Laurie Tamura for her help.

 

Jim Small: bragged $50 on the recent trip his wife and he took to New Mexico, fortunately, they just barely avoided a train accident.

 

Mark Jackson: bargged $25 on Jerry and Ann Walsh for the dinner they hosted as part of a Barn Party auction item and another $25 for a surprise visit to his parents.

 

Martin Testa: won second place in a BBQ Cook Off.  The first place winner made Tacos - how is that BBQ?  But Martin is not bitter.

Trivia Question Fines - What Fun

Teresa Rayburn and Teri Strickland won T-shirts for correctly answering Trivia Questions;

 

However...........

Wendy Foxen and Carol Bradfield did not correctly answer the trivia questions, so were therefore fined $30 each.

 

Carl DeRiso: Fined $30 for being Irish and not wearing green on St. Paddy's Day

Ian shared with the group his experiences and work in Hollywood.  

He has worked as an arranger and composer and has also worked as a professor, but never taught music.  He taught creative wiring, particularly writing screenplays. Ian was the musical director, of “Laugh-in” and wrote over 3000 pages in original music.
 
Ian is the President of the Santa Barbara Jazz society and loves to play jazz piano.  He stressed importance of working hard, studying, and having good mentors.
