PROGRAM
Today the Santa Maria Breakfast Rotary Club bid a fond farewell to
Jerry and Ann Walsh
Santa Maria welcomed Jerry and Ann 50 years ago! They are now relocating to northern Florida to be close to daughter Collen and two grandchildren. Jerry is a Charter Member and Past President (1988-89), scholarship committee, and Interact Director of the Rotary Club of Santa Maria-Breakfast. Along the way the Walsh family has served this community well, predominately in education, Gerald L. "Jerry" Walsh, PhD, served Santa Maria High School District with distinction as a teacher, athletic director, and principal, finishing his career a member of the Board of Education. Ann, too, was in education and served as a member of the Board of Education at Orcutt Union School District. In 2015 Jerry received the Elks Citizen of the Year Award for his many years working with the Elks National Scholarship Committee. In addition, he carried on serving adults as a president of the Vocational Training Center and was active member of St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church. Needless to say Jerry and Ann Walsh will be greatly missed as members of the Santa Maria Community.
