BRAGS:

Michelle Jensen: bragged on her nephew who recently revealed that he will be welcoming a new baby girl into his life. This is especially exciting since boys seem to be the "norm" in Michelle's life.  $25

Kate Ferguson: bragged on Inda Dworaczyk for successfully completing her cancer treatment. This is great news and all of our Rotary prayers will continue to be with her as she moves towards a full recovery. $50

Shannon Seifert: bragged on her recent 40th wedding anniversary and the "spa" experience that the couple took part in. Our understanding is that it involved two dug holes full of a "compost type" material that they submerged themselves in to relieve their stress (I guess). Anyway, it sure sounds........differentwink Happy Anniversary you two!  $40

Fellow Rotary member Leonard Champion was our featured speaker this morning. He gave us all a brief biography of his life and how he ultimately became a valued member of our city's fire department. After graduating in 45th fire academy class at AHC, Leonard quickly moved up the ranks beginning in 1993 as a full time firefighter to ultimately becoming the Fire Chief of Santa Maria.  Now retired, Leonard now performs the duties of Fire Academy Coordinator at AHC where he is getting ready for it's 148th class to begin. Mr. Champion answered a wide variety of questions after his presentation.

And the winners are..............Glenn Morris and Doug Palmer
