CLUB ASSEMBLY

PRESIDENT HOLLY led the meeting to discuss and get direction and authorization from SMBR members to bring current our Continuing Resolutions, the document that guides our operation for the upcoming Rotary year.
To conform to standard operating procedures and IRS financial constraints, numerous activities will be moved from the Club accounts and placed in the SMBR Foundation. Additional discussion was held on the Compassion Fund, Rotary Youth Exchange, RI Convention expenses, and Interact/Rotaract expenses. Following discussion, a motion was made by JAMES THOMAS to accept the recommendations and approve the CR document, as amended, and Seconded by LEE CARROLL to accept the proposed motion.
Action: Motion Approved w/o objection.
Note: Ongoing discussion is being held to ensure full conformity to the the aforementioned standards and interests of the membership. Stay Tuned!
The 2026-2027 Club budget was presented to the membership. After discussion, a motion was made by PAT McDERMOTT to approve the draft 2026-27 budget, which was seconded by MARK JACKSON.
Action: Motion Approved w/o objection.
