BRAGS
Andy Caldwell (Rotarian of the Month): Andy wasn't in attendance this week, so I guess he will add to his free brags next week??
Shannon Seifert: bragged on our good friend and fellow Rotarian Dave Wright, for recently celebrating 30 years working in the banking business. Very impressive! $50
Kate Ferguson: was very happy with the club support she received for her "Shoes For Students Golf Tournament" on September 11th. She also praised our local Rotaract Club for their participation as well. $50
Pat McDermott: is now a first time grandfather! He was very proud to announce that his daughter Melissa and husband Carlos welcomed their new son Aidan Patrick Colon to the world on September 12th. Pat tried to get off lightly, but our members persuaded him (or maybe "shamed him" is more appropriate) to donate $100 to our local Future Business Leaders of America club that was in attendance this morning. Congratulations Pat & Cyndy!
Jim Peterson: recently returned from a vacation in Chicago. Arlene & Jim attended a few baseball games and saw many sights that the city had to offer. Another Rotary couple went with them (more on that later) $50
Kevyn Walthers: saw an awesome concert at the Hollywood Bowl. The Electric Light Orchestra came out of retirement and put on a spectacular show. Kevyn also bragged on the successful Presquile Fundraiser that occurred last weekend. As the final part of his brag trifecta, he also told the group that he's going to the Texas/Cal football game this Saturday (9/17)......all that for a total of $50
Ryan Swack: celebrated his son's 5 year old birthday by taking the entire family to Disneyland for a three day adventure. They all had a great time and the birthday boy will have something to remember for a very long time. $50
Carl Deriso: just got back from South Bend, Indiana where he saw the "Fighting Irish" of Notre Dame play football. He also praised Terri and the Hitching Post staff for taking great care of him and his Toyota team. $30
Mike Gibson: recently bought a Toyota Highlander from Carl's business. Mike and Marla are very happy with their new purchase :)....That was worth a big $100 brag!!
Mike Moats: and his lovely wife Susan, went to Chicago with the Petersons. They also had a great time. Not only did they attend ball games, but they also visited some interesting museums, buildings and rode the "L" train. He also squeezed a birthday in there as well. That was worth another big $100!!!
Jim Small: bragged on his wife's recent birthday. Happy Birthday! .......$40
Wayne Miller: had a birthday also. Happy B-Day to you too!!..........$55
Craig Bernard: celebrated his wife's recent birthday in Big Sur/Carmel country. He also visited his grand kids in Visalia over the weekend. Wow! Another $100
FINES
Jason Stilwell: was caught on camera texting when he should have been paying attention. Madam President is a tough cookie!.........$30
Jack Gresser: was fined $30 for not wearing his pin at the golf tournament. Jean-luc lucked out because he came up with an ingenious remedy to the situation (a makeshift paper lapel pin).
Tony Spinelli: took his sweet time at the bar while everyone was waiting for him to tee off. Thought it was due to slow service, but then we found out it was his sixth trip

........$30
