ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
1) Mike Gibson - made a surprise announcement, and in case you haven't heard, CALM is hosting a fundraiser tonight "Ladies Get Loud".  Rumor has it that there are a few Rotarians involved with this event......
 
 
2) Lee Carroll - recognized Jim Bray for his effort at the Homeless Shelter last week.
 
 
3) Geri Coats (Guest) -  thanked the club for their contribution for the teachers Ed Camp.  She gave a brief overview of the well-received event.
 
 
4)  Kevin Walthers - announced that the AHC Wine Sales will be open for business on May 7.
 
5)  Karl McClain (AKA Doug Palmer) - announced that the Club will be purchasing a table (or something similar) for Shrek the Musical at the Solvang Theatrefest on July 24.  The event supports Santa Maria Valley Family Center.
 
6) Laurie Tamura - May 14 is the Luau and a lot of things are happening each and every week. Laurie brought the club up to date on all the key dates and reminded everyone to get a job that night and to sell their tickets.

Ken Bradley (Rotarian of the Month) - Ken bragged on his son and wife Brooke.  He shared some travel experiences with them.............
 
Kate Ferguson - bragged $10 on Jimi V on his fantastic BBQ for Geri and the Ed Camp.  She added $50 on her grandson's swimming feats.
 
Watson - bragged $100 for his wife's birthday and his company's latest acquisition - Sunny Country! 
 
Laurie Tamura - combo bragged $100 on Kate & Martin for the fun wine party; and for Pete Sterling's big cowboy hat and blue jeans.
 
Dan Blough - bragged $50 on his 'cleaner' bill of health and his FUN time at Beach Blanket Babylon in SF - a must see for everyone!
 
Peter Sterling - bragged $50 on a successful Elk's Queen Kick-off Dinner.  
 
Chris Hastert - characterized himself as a "hopeful" member?  bragged  $25 on his good luck with the Federal Aviation Administration.
 
Tony Spinelli - bragged $50 on Mike Cardona's 65th birthday party in Las Vegas.
 
Mike Cardona - had to brag after Tony's comments another $50........
 
FINES & OTHER ASSESSMENTS
 
Peter Sterling - assessed $5 for his new rotary pin; being he was lacking one at the Elk's Queen Kick off.
 
Lee Carroll - fined $30 for his choice of restaurants and shopping locations.
 
Tim Seifert - fined $30 for absolutely nothing, but apparently something...........
 
Kevin Walthers - fined $30 for the lavish 3D printer in his office.
 
John Reinacher - got a fine for his "whine" for getting picked on.  $30.
PROGRAM
 
The Club had an informative offsite visit at the Santa Maria Valley YMCA; which is the home base of Club President and CEO Shannon Seifert.  Krista Delia gave an overview of the many services provided at the "Y".  Our Club have been long-time supporters of this very important community organization.  After her presentation, the Club members had an informative tour of the facility.
