1) Operation Surf on 10/16 was a huge success

3) Business cards needed for the Tabloid for the Christmas Parade, give them to Mike Gibson
4) Casa will have a float at the Christmas Parade, they are in need of a flatbed truck
5) Frank announced that Honorary Rotarian, Scottie will be one of a very few Rotarians who will have the honor to walk with the Rotary Rose Float on New Years Day in Pasadena!
To help defer the costs; we are going to offer up (4) Premium Lower Box seats plus parking to a San Francisco Giants game of your choice in 2016. If you are not a baseball person, you can choose (2) nights lodging and a lunch certificate at the famous Tadich Grill in San Francisco. We are offering this as a gift to one lucky participant as our thanks for supporting this endeavor. We are only selling 60 chances at $50 each. Also Goleta Noon Time Rotary to Steve Jones, on behalf of Goleta Noon Time presented a check for $2,500
Jim Clark was again recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow!
BRAGS
Jim Bray: Bragged $100.00 on the club for the support received while Denise was in the hospital and home recovering
George Majoue: Bragged $100.00 to followed up on Jim’s brag. He took a meal over to their house, and was so impressed by the sincerity of acceptance of the food gift. He will also witness adoption of a CASA child today
He then bragged another $100.00; he turns 62 this week and has lost 90 pounds

PROGRAM
This week's program honored the Los Prietos Boys Camp.
Steve Lavagnino introduced this topic and stated that there is no better investment than the scholarships we give out to the Camp, and that through this program we are
making our community a better place to live.
Chief Probation Office County of Santa Barbara, Lupe Rabago stated thatthis program makes a difference, and is a good alternative to incarceration by providing scholarships, computers, books, and educational opportunities.
Jim Clark, Los Prietos' supervising probation officer, acknowledged that through this program, 20 students a year are kept in college.
The Scholarships make a difference and $10,000 in scholarships will be given out this year. Due to this work, the group has been invited to speak at the Rotary International World Peace Conference.
Steve Delira provided information regarding a similar women’s program which celebrates those who have overcome “at risk” situations. Candace Penrod spoke to the group about her experience and the support she has received. She was presented a computer, printer and a check.

Alfredo, and Daniel Garcia, recipients of the Los Prietos Boys Camp Scholarships. Dr. Tibbs and Judge Garcia made closing remarks.
