Rona Barrett
Golden Inn & Village
Our club was very honored this morning to have Rona Barrett as our featured speaker. Ms. Barrett spoke about her early childhood in New York, where she was born with a disability that no one at that time could diagnose. She overcame that obstacle and rose to fame in the entertainment reporting business. Not only did she write for magazines and newspapers, but she also honed her skills in the television industry. She was on the nightly news as well as various TV interview specials that she starred in. Once retired, she settled in the Santa Ynez Valley. She now devotes all of her time to a her foundation that focuses on the senior community. Her Golden Inn & Village is her latest project that is located in Solvang. This building houses seniors that may not have the ability to house themselves due to financial situations. After speaking she took questions, then offered to sign her new book "Gray Matters" for those wishing to purchase one.
