Santa Maria Museum of Flight:
Jim Bray announced that there will be a fundraiser coming up in the near future that involves the showing of "The Rocketeer" movie at the museum. More details to follow
 
 
A Secret Garden: Betty Miller is organizing a Rotary visit to PCPA to see A Secret Garden. The date is Friday December 3rd. A sign-up clipboard is being circulated at each meeting. Please add your name(s) if you plan on attending.

Christmas Parade of Lights: has officially been cancelled due to Covid protocols, Don't be discouraged, we will try it again next year.
 
 
Toyota of Santa Maria Pinktober:
Hurry, time is almost up. Purchase your pink pumpkin at Toyota of Santa Maria. All proceeds go towards breast cancer awareness programs. See David Leroy for more details.
 
 
Dia De Los Muertos: Peter Kang explained how his church is putting on a community celebration, Dia De Los Muertos for halloween. There will be free food and games.
 
 
Today's Rotary Minute:
 
 
Today's Rotary Minute was presented by "president elect" Roberto Rodriguez who spoke to the group about the camaraderie he feels being a part of the membership. After five years, he has grown to know that "Service Above Self" is a key ingredient to being a productive and valued Rotarian. He looks forward to many more years to come.
Mark Your Calendar! Our Family Christmas Party will be held on Thursday December 23 at 7:00 AM at the SM Country Club. Note: Each member will be responsible to buy a gift for the children they invite. I'm sure that a clipboard will be circulating in the coming weeks.

David Leroy: recently returned from a family trip to Hawaii (had a great time). He also bragged on a successful grand opening at his Toyota dealership. $50
 
Mark Clarke: also returned from a trip to Hawaii where he played golf to his heart's content. He also brought a picture of a new house built on recently dried lava (crazy!) $50
 
Jim Bray: made a trip to Georgia for his sister's 80th birthday. He had a great time seeing and experiencing all of the southern sights that he remembered so fondly. $50
 
Chris Logan: took his daughter Savannah Rose to the Pinktober display at the Toyota dealership. A great experience for a great cause. $50
 
Peter Kang: bragged on the members of this club for helping he and his church out with volunteers, products and ideas for events and educational experiences. $5.00 (Staffel bragwink)
 
Kevin Walthers: bragged on Peter Kang for performing religious services at Merrill Gardens where his Mom resides $25. He also bragged on Mike Gibson for helping out at the college with vaccination protocols (even during soaking wet times) $100

PROGRAM
 
Los Prietos Scholarship Program
 
 
 
Today's program involved our annual Los Prietos check presentation. The program is administered by the probation department and helps boys and girls with a troubled background. Erin Cross spoke to the membership about new innovations and programs that are currently being used and the many success stories that have resulted. She then answered questions from the audience afterwards.
