LANCE BARREDO, President of Interact (2020-2022), addressed the Club and expressed his appreciation for the support by SMBR.  Lance is a 2022 grad of Righetti High School, attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) program, is a recipient of a SMBR Scholarship Award and will be attending CalPoly, SLO in the Fall term. 
 
A very special THANK YOU to Michele Jensen for her efforts as our club's Interact Liaison.

Step Down Celebration: To commemorate the great year that James Thomas just completed, we will be celebrating at Trattoria Uliveto on Saturday June 11 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Drinks and heavy appetizers will be provided. Please contact Mike Gibson.
 
 
 
Barn Party Income Update: Berto Rodriquez shared the updated "unofficial" financial data for the 2022 Barn Party Luau reflects total income of $152,000 with a projected net of $112,000!

Mike Moats enjoyed a "very relaxing" afternoon basking in the Santa Maria sunshine at an outdoor concert...and was caught napping!  $50
 
Jim Peterson got fined for breathing. $30
 
Wayne Miller got caught up on his fines with a scouting trip to the Sierra and for unauthorized & surprise feeding of a black bear that cleaned 'em out of their food supply and wrecked the campsite. $ 60
 
Jerry Walsh didn't mention his grand daughter's confirmation.  Apparently being absent doesn't absolve one from being fined. $30

PROGRAM
DON COPELAND is a long-time and well-established resident of Orcutt and is the Board Chair of the Chimineas Ranch Foundation. His passion for agriculture and the outdoors allowed him to shared the story of a hidden treasure located on 38,900 acres in the Carrizo Plain.  This one of a kind ecological preserve works in concert with the Department of Fish and Wildlife, providing recreational and hunting activities while protecting a multitude of species of wildlife and plant life.  A search of the CRF on the internet will be well worth your time!
