Program

Los Prietos Scholarship Program – named after Dr. Bill & Betty Tibbs (the late Dr. Bill Tibbs was a SM Breakfast Rotary member and former physician at the Boys’ Camp)

Women’s Program – named after Theresa and Richard “Dick” Brody – (the late Theresa Brody was the nurse at the Los Prietos Boys Camp for many years and worked with Dr. Bill Tibbs. Her husband, Dick Brody was a long time member of the Goleta Noontime Club and longtime Club liaison for this joint project. Dick Brody was a strong advocate for the Women’s Program.  Dick Brody passed away in late 2019 and by the time we were to hold a memorial scholarship awards ceremony honoring his dedication to this joint project (that has been in existence for some 20 years now) – the COVID
19 shutdown hit and we could not have the in person scholarship award program we had planned involving members of his family in attendance.

Speaker -  ERIN CROSS, Deputy Probation Officer – she is in charge of the Women’s Scholarship Program that we co-sponsor with the Goleta Noontime Rotary Club.
Goleta Noontime Rotary Club Members (visiting Rotarians) at the meeting this morning:
Goleta Noontime Rotary Co-Presidents: Hans & Helena Dahlin
 Mike Gartzke (Goleta Club Treasurer)
Mike Bennett (Goleta Club liaison for our joint club Los Prietos Scholarship program)
