ANNOUNCEMENTS

Rotary Step Down Party: The date has finally arrived (almost). This Sunday (June 24), we will be celebrating the club in a big way as we do every year. This year we will be having fun, enjoying each others company and dining on delicious food at our favorite restaurant, the Hitching Post (Casmalia). If you have not yet signed up to attend, please call Terri Stricklin directly and make sure that you get on the list. Hope to see you there!

SM Parks & Rec: Teresa Reyburn took a moment to remind everybody of all the fun and exciting things to do as we enter the summer season. The Parks & Rec Department has once again risen to the occasion to provide a variety of programs for children, adults and families to enjoy. As of last week, Concerts in the Park has now officially begun with a large crowd on hand to enjoy the free musical talent. A full list of times, dates, places and bands can be found on their website

CALLING ALL GAVELS!!!!......Laurie Tamura announced that we are missing quite a few gavels over the past few years. If anyone knows their whereabouts or would like to magically make them reappear (no questions asked),.......please contact Laurie if you can be of assistance.

BRAGS

Mark Jackson: bragged on his wife (Debra) and daughter (Rachel) who traveled up to Portland for a job interview. He also bragged on his old boss Mike Weintraub in honor of today's guest, Jake Weintraub. $50

Dan Blough: construction has finally started on his commercial piece of property located at Clark & Stillwell. He was all smiles this morning $50

Glenn Morris: was happy to announce his 2018-19 Chamber Board members (who happen to be Breakfast Rotarians). David Leroy, Jean-luc Garon (Chairman Elect) and Chamber veteran Laurie Tamura. $50

Michael Buhring: is looking forward to traveling to Toronto for the international Rotary convention. As incoming President, he's excited about learning new ideas that may help improve our club (although you can't improve on perfection.....or can you?wink) $30

Carol Bradfield: bragged on the Cardona/Ortiz recent get together that she and Clay recently attended (I think that's what it was.....sorry if i got it wrong). I do know however that they recently returned from a trip to Virginia where they got to see their new Grandbaby for the very first time. Congratulations you two! $25

Mike Gibson, Mark Jackson, Tim Seifert, Shannon Seifert, Jerry Walsh and Frank Ortiz: All fined $30 each for not fining enough when they were in charge.

Lee Carroll: was fined $30 for asking Jean-luc to be President a few years ago.surprise

Jim Peterson: was fined $2 just because.........that's what happens when you're not quite at the limit yet.

Jason Stillwell: apparently Jean-luc hit all red lights when he was coming to the meeting this morning (that's just not right). Oh well....that'll cost you $30.

Ryan Swack: Jean-luc was pleased that the microphone was finally working better now, but....you still get fined $30 (who says that it pays to be friends with the President?).

About Time Duo

This week our club was proud to present the musical act About Time Duo. The duo consists of a "newly engaged" couple that are extremely talented. Their names are Aaron Salazar and Caitlyn Vassaur. They play original songs as well as covers of well known folk, country, pop, blues and rock tunes that are guaranteed to keep your toe tapping and definitely will keep you singing along. They can be seen at a wide variety of different venues along the Central Coast. Please go to their Facebook page for more information on upcoming concerts.
