HONORARY ROTARIANS

At this week's meeting, Frank Ortiz inducted Karl and Paula McClain into our Honorary Rotarian member category. As a founding member of our club, Karl and Paula have been deeply involved in a multitude of projects that the club has undertaken over the years. We welcome back the McClains as honorary members and look forward to having them as a continuing part of our Rotary family for many years to come.

BRAGS

Wendy Foxen: Wendy bragged $30 on her best friend Camille's wedding. Camille married her long time boyfriend Marty O' Brien.

Shannon Seifert: Shannon was also at the wedding and she bragged $30 as well. She also wanted to give thanks to Jimmy V for giving a Rotary sweatshirt to our very own Berniece from the Santa Maria Inn. Way to go Jim!!

Dan Blough: Dan recently returned from a fishing trip in Northern California (Yreka, to be exact). Although the lack of available fish was depressing, they nonetheless had a great time anyway. $40 ($10 for every fish caught).

Andy Caldwell: Andy bragged $50 on fellow Rotarians Martin Testa, Terri Stricklin and Jean Luc Garon for being of great help with his recent "Scared Straight" presentation at the SM Fairpark

FINES

Andy Caldwell: Apparently there was an accusation of slave labor as Andy once again had his wife and all of his children working at his recent Fairpark presentation. According to Andy, this a family tradition that they all look forward to every year??.......yeah right. Anyway, it'll cost you $30

Jean Luc Garon: Who can name all of Andy's kids? Apparently Jean Luc couldn't, so that will cost him $30.

Craig Bernard: Craig was fined for doing some "deep active listening" at the COLAB Fairpark presentation. For listening so actively, that will cost you $30.

Peter Sterling: Rumor had it that he traded in his new car for a more practical model. This turned out not to be true, so he was fined for the festive looking shorts he was wearing. $30

Mike Moats: Madam President is trying to track down the presidential gavel from last year. So far no luck. Until she does, no one is safe from a "Gavel Travel" fine. Sorry Mike, but this week it was your turn. $30

Kirk Spry: According to a photograph that was shown, there was a "hole-in-one" that happened recently. I'm sure we'll hear more details later when Kirk gets back, but as for now, $30 in absentia (yes, there's that word again).

PROGRAM

This week's meeting honored many of the employees that help make our businesses and organizations successfully run "day in and day out". These men and women have shown their dedication to their chosen job and have become a true asset to the teamwork needed to obtain the highest customer/client satisfaction. Santa Maria Breakfast Rotary devotes one meeting per year to acknowledge and reward these individuals for a job well done. Thank you to everyone involved today! Your skills and contributions are, and continue to be, greatly appreciated.
