Check Presentation
A $1,000 check was presented to the Santa Maria Women's Fund.
Amy Curti accepted the check. She reported that this year the focus is on Arts and Music Education. Letters of intent have been sent out to 15 organizations throughout the valley.
InterAct
InterAct members Jisoo Park and Yudith Lopez reported on RILAH.
Jisoo reported that he made life long friends, learned that to be a good leader, you also need to be a good follower, and learned about the roles of being on a team.
Yudith Lopez said that it was fun, and at first that she was nervous about meeting new people. She will be attending college next year, and she now knows that she can meet new people
Rotarian of the Month
Rotarian of the Month; Teresa Rayburn, bragged on Mark Jackson; he is a very good guitar player, good wood worker, an all around great guy. She also bragged on Jason Stillwell, for keeping her sane and on task.

Martin Testa, who won $1,000 and will now be going to Hawaii bragged $50.
Shannon Seifert bragged on Mike Cardona for the rotating dinner and good company - $50.
Jim Peterson bragged on attending a Birthday Party for a neighbor who just turned 90 years old
Teresa Reyburn – bragged on the Hitching Post $30
Terri Strickland – bragged on the Hitching Post Restaurant’s 65th anniversary. They have several specials planned, i.e. two new york dinners for $65 and This all starts Monday will be artichoke night, –free artichokes for the first 100 people. Today there will be another reveal on Facebook - $100.
Dale Johnson bragged on Mike and Crystal Cardona and for Amy ‘s husband who picked up the tab $20
Peter Sterling bragged on celebrating his 31st anniversary, and the excellent rodeo queen kick-off; a sell out crowd - $50.
Rich Watson bragged on his son who was just accepted to Seattle Pacific - $50
Kate Ferguson bragged on Carol Bradfield on their two hour work out for Shoes for Students. Carol hung in there for the full two hours - $25
Lee Carroll bragged on his daughter who was just hired at a new job in Seattle, and his other daughter who was hired for a job in Ventura. He also thanked the club for all the meals while his wife was recovering. - $25

PROGRAM
Chief Operations Officer, Tina Tonascia reported on the Santa Maria Elks rodeo and Parade. This year will be the 74th annual, and will be held June 1st -4th.
There will be some changes this year with a goal of reuniting the energy in the community. They have a great new sponsorship with Santa Maria Dodge.
Santa Maria Elks rodeo is one of 50 rodeos that has every sponsor This means a bigger rodeo, and better athletes.
The Champions Challenge rodeo on Thursday night will be taped and shown the following week on CBS sports. This is huge to be on a national platform like this. Every national rodeo champion will be at the event Thursday night. The rodeo will also be live streamed on the Wrangler Network.com
