Kevin Walthers: Bragged $100 on how proud he was to be a part of the Hancock College drive-thru graduation. All in all, it lasted around six hours and involved 320 graduates.
Laurie Tamura: had a mixture of emotions to deal with. She had her birthday yesterday, and then she and her family also laid her Mother to rest during this past week. $63
Jerry Schmidt: He was very proud of his daughter Danielle, who is now a registered nurse. $50
Ken Bradley: He had a birthday recently and celebrated with a "great" weekend trip that involved AVP volleyball (what more could you ask for?) $20
Tim Staffel: The heat must be getting to Judge Staffel as we heard that he would like to "match" Kevin Walther's $100 brag on the recent AHC graduates. Awesome, way to go!!
FINES:
Nothing this week.
Program
Marc Schneider (center). Pictured here with two other guys??
This morning, Santa Maria Police Commander Marc Schneider (and fellow Rotarian) gave us an update on the police department and the many programs that they are involved with. The current police roster involves 140 sworn officers with most of them coming from the local community. The Chief of Police is Phil Hansen with three Commanders reporting directly to him. Lieutenants, Sergeants and Officers are under the Commander's jurisdiction. Marc has proudly served in law enforcement for the past 27 years and really enjoys the profession he has chosen. We are very proud to have him as a member of our club.
