ANNOUNCEMENTS

1) Laurie Tamura: announced that the Rotary District Awards dinner will be happening on Saturday June 25 in Moorpark. Contact Laurie for more information or to sign up

2) Lee Carroll: Lee has been in contact with the Good Samaritan Shelter in regards to changing the date of our commitment to a weekday instead of our current date of every fourth Sunday. The club seems receptive to the change and more volunteers will most likely be available if the date changes. NOTE: Since our meeting Lee has spoken to the shelter and they have changed our date to every fourth Thursday of the month from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Please contact Lee if you can be of service in the future.

3) Mike Moats: Anyone interested in attending an exciting Winetini function with Mike and Susan sometime in August (sorry, didn't write down the date) please contact him ASAP. $200 per couple is a heckuva great deal, but there are only a few slots open, so don't delay!!!

4) Shannon's Step Down: Saturday June 18 is President Shannon Seifert's step down party at the ever popular Hitching Post restaurant in Casmalia. Great food (thanks Terri) and outstanding entertainment (thanks Mark J) will be experienced by all who attend. I would say contact Tim Seifert for more information, but it already happened....so unfortunately for you, you're just out of luck :)
BRAGS

Jim Bray: Jim combined two brags (sitting too close to Staffel I guess??). #1-Jim and Denise recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with a nice lunch in Santa Ynez. #2-After 40 years, Jim is finally retiring and getting out of the oil business for good. Stay tuned for future plans. $70

Mark Clarke: Taking his cue from Jim, Mark also announced that he would be retiring from the banking finance sector beginning July 29. He's also extra happy because he just found out that he and Linda are going to be grandparents!! Congratulations!!! $65

Doug Palmer: Doug and Kathy celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary recently. You two are an outstanding marriage model to look up to. We wish you many more years to come. $44

Lee Carroll: bragged on his daughter Jessica who will become a team duo with Jay Turner on Sunny Country beginning July 1st. He also gave a big "shout out" to Rich Watson for helping his daughter to get into the business a few years ago. $25

Jack Gresser: bragged on his 69th birthday. He goes to Hawaii quite often and overall enjoys life to the fullest. Happy Birthday Jack! $69

FINES

Mike Buhring; was the only one fined this week and for the life of me I really don't know for what??? Oh well, he probably deserved it. $30
PROGRAM

This weeks program was presented by Anne Cremarosa who is the Founder/President MIYB Spaces as well as the Santa Maria Business Development Center. Anne brought us all up to date on the current happenings of her businesses and what to expect in the future. Her business offers entrepreneurs and start up businesses the proper resources at a reasonable cost to help kick start their efforts in a positive direction. Ms. Cremarosa informed the club that they have currently outgrown their existing location and will soon be moving to their new building that will double their size. For more information and to see how you can help, go to www.miybspaces.com or call (805) 623-8434.
PROGRESSIVE AUCTION

This week at the meeting, Pat McDermott performed one of his famous progressive auctions. The prize this time were two tickets to see the rock group Chicago at the Vina Robles amphitheatre on July 29. After many. many, bids Laurie Tamura finally took home the prize and a total of $910 was raised for the club. Thanks to everyone that participated.
